Recreation Membership

Recreation Membership offers access to all recreational facilities and eligibility to participate in all Campus Recreation programs.

Memberships are sold at the UNC One Card Office which is located on the ground floor of Daniels Building (UNC Student Stores) on South Road , directly across from the Student Recreation Center .

Current Students

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill full-time students (undergraduate & graduate) receive an automatic recreation membership through enrollment and payment of mandatory student fees. Student membership is effective only during currently enrolled semesters.

Summer Eligibility for Students

Students enrolled in summer school receive an automatic recreation membership through enrollment and payment of mandatory student fees. Student membership is effective only during currently enrolled summer sessions.

Students not enrolled in either summer session but registered for class in the Fall may purchase a summer membership for $40. The same $40 membership is offered to recent Carolina graduates (you must have just graduated in May). This one-time membership expires at the end of Summer Session II.

Students enrolled for SS I, but not for SS II may purchase a membership for the remainder of the summer for $20. Students enrolled for SS II, but not for SS I may purchase a membership for the beginning of the summer for $20.

Employees/Families/Part-time Students

In order to use Campus Recreation facilities and be eligible to participate in all programs,
UNC-Chapel Hill faculty/staff/part-time students and UNC Hospital employees must pay a fee. Payroll deduction is encouraged for convenience in renewal. [click here to determine whether you are eligible]

Annual Payment for Membership (August 1-July 31)
Adult Membership- $150.00
Pool Membership for Dependent Children - $30.00

Prorated January 1st
Adult Membership- $90.00
Pool Membership for Dependent Children - $25.00

Prorated after Spring Commencement
Adult Membership- $40.00
Pool Membership for Dependent Children - $15.00

Temporary employees and alumni are NOT eligible to purchase Recreation Membership.
