Climbing Wall

Climbing Wall

The Fetzer Gym C wall rises 30 feet from the floor and contains over 2100 square feet of textured wall and a bouldering cave. The Rams Head Climbing Wall provides an additional 2400 square feet of new, exciting, and challenging climbing terrain. To use the walls, climbers must first become Carolina belay certified. Certification classes are offered for beginners ($30) and a belay test is offered for experienced climbers ($20). Registration is available in 101 Student Recreation Center.

Climbers may also purchase a climbing equipment card and enjoy unlimited use of equipment at the wall for the entire school year.

• Belay Certification Note: You must pre-pay and register in 101 Student Recreation Center prior to taking the class. For directions and hours for 101 SRC, please call 919.843.PLAY.
