{Climbing Wall Working Group Summary, February 2013 Update}
Indoor climbing wall facilities at Rams Head Recreation Center and Fetzer Hall were closed and the climbing wall program temporarily suspended following an accident at the Rams Head Climbing Wall on April 21, 2012. The UNC department of environment, health and safety (EHS) recently completed an internal evaluation of the indoor climbing wall program's safety, in accordance with OSHA and other applicable standards. To see the results of their evaluation, as well as the plans to proceed with an independent review, click here for the Climbing Wall Working Group Summary. The goal is to be able to re-open the indoor climbing walls upon the completion of the independent review and implementation of the recommendations described in the Climbing Wall Working Group Summary, most likely after the Fall 2012 semester.
