If you are already NATIONALLY CERTIFED and HAVE EXPERIENCE teaching…
Download and submit an application to Lauren Mangili. You need a general group fitness certification to teach most classes (AFAA, ACE, NASM, etc), and a specialty certification to teach Yoga, Pilates, Indoor Cycle, or Zumba. Once you have submitted an application, an interview and audition will be scheduled. Click here to complete an application.
If you are NOT CERTIFIED and/or have NO EXPERIENCE…
Course offering: Group Fitness Leadership, PHYA 402
Course start date: January 8, 2014
When: Mondays & Wednesdays, 4:00-5:00 p.m.

- PHYA 402 is a 14 week, 50 hour (20 theoretical and 30 practical) program that prepares interested students to teach safe, effective, and motivating classes.
- Students receive training on exercise instruction fundamentals including physiology, biomechanics, class format and design, and the skill of teaching.
- Students will be paired with a current instructor and team teach at least once a week for the majority of the semester.
- Once students complete the class, they will be eligible to interview & audition.
